PERSONALITY: InuYasha is at first arrogant, violent, self-centered, and uncaring. However, he does have a heart somewhere deep in there, and protects Kagome again and
again. Kikyo is a cause of great consternation to him. InuYasha is proud of his demon heritage and extremely ashamed of his human half. Though he seems cocky and self-serving, he actually has a good amount of compassion for others, which he keeps hidden most of the time.
BACKGROUND: InuYasha's father was a dog-demon and his mother was a mortal woman. InuYasha experiences a short period of time each month when his demon blood ebbs away and he becomes mortal and vulnerable. Fifty years ago, he fell in love with the
protectress of the Shikon Jewel, Kikyo. He was also enchanted by this same woman, and the spell was only broken when Kagome appeared in his world.
POWERS/WEAPONS: InuYasha has abundant strength in his demon-form and also uses the Tetsusaiga, a sword made from his father's fang, which can be used only in defense of humans.
